TIMELINE

The Sparsh journey began in the Rayagada district of Odisha when we became acutely aware of the unacceptably high rates of child and maternal mortality there. We initiated our first programme in this sector and also began educating the villagers on healthcare practices, encouraging a change in everyday behaviours. We also created opportunities for adult education. Today, we are working extensively in Odisha, especially in the tribal areas, creating opportunities for viable livelihoods for women and youth, farm practices and healthcare.
